About The Position

The Housekeeper / Dispatcher cleans assigned areas according to established procedures and infection-control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash and dirty linen, and cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds. The role also replenishes supplies in housekeeping carts or assigned areas, maintains clean equipment, and reports broken equipment to a supervisor. Other related duties may be assigned. This PRN role is based at Texas Health Dallas and works an as-needed evening schedule. The stated shift is 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on a rotating schedule. Weekend work is required every weekend during the first 90 days, followed by rotating weekends.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and remain flexible in assignments.
Ability to work around housekeeping chemicals.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months of hospital or hotel housekeeping experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities
