About The Position

The Center for Community Resources is seeking a Housekeeper/Cook for the Wayne Crisis Stabilization Center. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by ensuring all living, dining, and common areas are kept sanitary and organized. Additionally, the role involves planning and preparing nutritious meals that meet dietary and health standards. This is a casual, weekend-only position (Saturday/Sunday).

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement.
  • Detail oriented and well organized.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Cleaning and cooking experience
  • ServSafe Certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all facility areas, including resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining, and common spaces.
  • Perform routine housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Wash, dry, fold, and store linens, towels, and residents’ laundry as needed.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals in accordance with nutritional guidelines and resident needs.
  • Comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor and manage food and cleaning supply inventories; notify supervisor of shortages.
  • Safely handle and store cleaning agents and kitchen equipment.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support facility operations.
