About The Position

We are an active, warm, and close-knit family of four seeking a dedicated Household Manager to help our home run smoothly and proactively. This role involves anticipating needs, managing details, and bringing structure to our everyday life. We value warmth, honesty, and a calm, capable presence, and we want someone who feels like part of the family. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and calm under pressure, with a project manager's mindset. Key responsibilities include meal preparation, inventory management, errands, and general household upkeep. The role also involves vendor oversight, laundry, family support (including occasional childcare and transportation), vehicle upkeep, deep cleaning, and administrative/personal assistant tasks. Pet care is also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

Maintain a smoke-free environment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Reliable personal transportation required.
Comfortable with technology and using tools for research and troubleshooting.
Ability to adapt well when plans shift.
Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Spanish speaking preferred.
Occasional Saturday availability requested for tournament transportation.
Flexibility for back-up childcare/potential overnights with notice.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain household organization systems.
Perform daily resets and light tidying.
Coordinate donation drop-offs.
Assist with event, holiday, and guest preparation.
Provide packing and unpacking support for family travel.
Perform routine upkeep tasks such as replacing batteries and light bulbs.
Manage running household supply lists and restock pantry, fridge, and household essentials.
Manage household orders and subscriptions.
Handle mail and package intake, returns, and box breakdown.
Assist with gift shopping and coordination of birthday cards and family occasion logistics.
Plan and prepare dinner 3-4 times per week, ready to heat or eat.
Prep lunches three times per week for both kids and parents.
Perform grocery shopping and pantry stocking.
Follow clean eating guidelines: organic whole foods.
Perform kitchen cleanup and maintenance after all meal prep.
Oversee and coordinate existing vendors (cleaners, lawn care, pest control, pool service, HVAC, landscaper).
Research, coordinate, and obtain quotes for repairs and new vendors.
Conduct routine property walkthroughs to flag maintenance needs or issues.
Wash, fold, and organize laundry.
Perform ironing, steaming, and special garment care.
Manage linen rotation.
Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry area.
Provide occasional afternoon school pickups.
Offer light supervision and homework help as needed.
Provide occasional overnight care when parents are traveling.
Handle kid-related errands and transportation to activities.
Provide occasional weekend tournament transportation.
Schedule and accompany family vehicles to maintenance appointments.
Track vehicle registration and insurance.
Keep family vehicles fueled, clean, and organized.
Perform occasional deep cleans of specific areas (refrigerator, oven, baseboards).
Refresh and organize garage, mudroom, and entryway areas.
Change HVAC air filters on a quarterly schedule.
Assist with organizational projects (closets, pantry, filing, gear, storage).
Manage household and family calendar, including school schedules and appointments.
Coordinate events and appointments.
Track personal expenses using a dedicated card.
Support with personal email organization and inbox management.
Provide travel planning and logistics support.
Transport the family dog to the dog nanny when the family is traveling.
Administer the dog's daily morning medication when dog sitting.
Schedule and transport pets to vet and grooming appointments.
Refill the outdoor automated cat feeder as needed.
Maintain all pet supplies (food, treats, and related items).
