About The Position

This role is for a Household Manager/Family Assistant in Wexford, PA. The position is part-time, offering 15-20 guaranteed hours per week, spread across 2-4 days, Monday through Thursday, starting after 9 am. While not required, Tuesday/Thursday afternoons are preferred. The family has one dog and one bearded dragon. The hourly rate is $30-37. Benefits include one week of paid vacation chosen by the family, one week of paid vacation chosen by the nanny, and all major holidays that fall on a workday. The position is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and enjoys variety, aiming to reduce the mental load on busy parents and make the week feel lighter.

Requirements

Previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

Manage household tasks such as laundry, restocking household staples, and meal preparation.
Organize closets and manage household items.
Handle returns, dry cleaning, donation drop-offs, and scheduling repairs.
Maintain the home between professional cleanings, including tidying common areas, wiping down counters, and sweeping/vacuuming high-traffic areas.
Grocery shopping and keeping staples stocked.
Assist with meal preparation and prepping simple family dinners.
Wash, fold, and put away family laundry.
Periodically organize children's closets.
Monitor and address needs such as children outgrowing clothing.
Update family schedules, activities, and household lists using a Skylight calendar.
Occasionally drive children (ages 11 and 9) to activities, lunch, or movies if working Tuesday or Thursday afternoons.
Provide companionship and be a trusted adult for the children.
Potentially walk the family dog.
Unload the dishwasher and clear kitchen counters upon arrival.
Water plants and toss expired food.
Take a vehicle for an oil change.
Notice and address low milk or detergent levels.
Clear out old food containers from the refrigerator.
