Responsibilities

  • Maintain household organization systems, ensuring the home is consistently tidy and organized
  • Daily resets and prep home for cleaners
  • Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas)
  • Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Event/holiday/guest prep
  • Packing/unpacking for travel
  • As needed: change batteries, light bulbs, etc.
  • Managing paper recycling 2x monthly
  • Wash/fold/organize laundry
  • Occasional ironing/steaming and special garment care
  • Linen rotation
  • Maintain tidy and well stocked laundry areas
  • Prep healthy meals/snacks
  • Occasional/as needed grocery shopping
  • Follow dietary needs/preferences (healthy, no beef)
  • Kitchen clean-up and maintenance: ie special care and use of marble countertops
  • Manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
  • Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Mail and package handling
  • Breakdown boxes
  • Occasional deep cleans (pantry, outdoor spaces)
  • Refresh garage/mudroom/entryway
  • Clean humidifiers/air purifiers
  • Organizational projects (toys, gear, closets)
  • Oversee maintenance/vendors as needed
  • Seasonal property maintenance
  • Manage outdoor spaces
  • Awareness of family calendar (including household schedules —skylight calendar bonus)
  • Receipt/budget tracking for expenses incurred as house manager
  • Travel planning and logistics (bonus)
  • Occasional pick-ups/drop-offs
  • Light supervision / back-up childcare as needed
