About The Position

We are a busy family of four with a lively yellow Labrador, living in the heart of Washington, DC. Both parents work demanding professional schedules and we have two young children at home, an infant and a toddler who is starting pre-K this fall. We also have a wonderful live-in au pair who primarily cares for the baby during the day. Our evenings are where the real action happens. Between pickups, dinner, bath time, and bedtime routines for two kids at very different stages, the 5:00-8:00 PM window can feel like a sprint. We've built good systems and have support in place, but we need a steady, capable person to tie it all together in the evenings and keep the household humming. We are a warm, close-knit family who values calm, structure, and consistency — especially for our kids. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us long-term, through au pair transitions and all the changes that come with young children. Our Lab is enthusiastically friendly and a big personality in his own right, so a love of dogs is a genuine must.
