About The Position

We are a busy, professional family with two young children. Our household is always full of energy, with daily tasks and ever-changing schedules. We need someone who can help streamline and manage the flow of activities, keep us organized, and stay on top of things with a proactive approach. While we have childcare support at home, we are looking for a team player who can seamlessly step in to manage logistics, schedules, and all the details that keep our home running smoothly. We value clear communication, reliability, and a high level of organization. Our ideal candidate is someone who can proactively handle multiple tasks at once while maintaining a calm and collected approach. Requirements

  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • Reliable transportation (valid driver’s license and ability to use family vehicle preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • General vaccinations

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain household organization systems
  • Daily resets and prep home for cleaners
  • Light tidying (surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas, occasional dishes)
  • Packing/unpacking for travel (including car)
  • Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
  • Prepare and coordinate donation & resale drop-offs
  • Event/holiday/travel/guest prep
  • Indoor plant care
  • Change batteries, light bulbs, etc.
  • Calendar management (including household schedules)
  • Comfort making calls and sending emails on behalf of family to coordinate as-needed administrative tasks
  • Managing family forms/paperwork, including: Getting forms from doctor for school, camp, and other activities, Submitting insurance reimbursement paperwork, Receipt/budget tracking for expenses incurred as house manager
  • Event and appointment coordination
  • Travel planning and logistics
  • Assist with payroll
  • Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies
  • Manage running household supply lists
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Instacart)
  • Grocery shopping as needed
  • Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Mail and package handling
  • Breakdown boxes
  • Organizational projects (toys, gear, closets, pantry)
  • Refresh entry, keeping dining table and countertops clear
  • Ensure cleaners conduct occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards)
  • Clean humidifiers/air purifiers
  • Schedule maintenance
  • Fueling/cleaning/organizing vehicles
  • Track registration/insurance
  • Oversee cleaners/contractors/handymen
  • Research/coordinate repairs and quotes
  • Pick-ups/drop-offs
  • Light supervision / back-up childcare
  • Kid-related errands
