Household Chief of Staff — Dallas, TX

About The Position

A busy, high-energy family is seeking an exceptional Household Chief of Staff, a true operational leader who can step in as the strategic and executional anchor of a dynamic, fast-moving home. This is not a traditional house manager role. The family needs someone with the mindset of a chief of staff: someone who leads with authority, builds and owns systems, manages a talented existing team, and rolls up their sleeves to get things done. Life in this household moves fast. There are four young children, two driven parents, active schedules, and a lot of moving pieces. The household already has strong, dedicated support staff in place. What's missing is the person who brings it all together who sees the full picture, sets the standard, and makes sure everything runs with intention, calm, and excellence. The right candidate will be equally comfortable directing a team meeting and reorganizing a pantry, coordinating school logistics and preparing a meal, planning travel and managing a vendor. They lead from the front.

Requirements

  • Exceptional people leadership (not just management)
  • High proactivity and ownership
  • Systems thinking
  • Willingness to do the work personally
  • Calm under pressure
  • Strong reliability and discretion
  • A warm, professional, high-standards presence
  • Direct experience in household/estate management, chief of staff or senior operations, luxury hospitality, or high-functioning family household leadership.
  • EA backgrounds considered only with proven staff-leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Blend of operational leadership, hands-on household experience, and strong executive-function support capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate an established staff (nannies, housekeepers, home assistant, handyman, babysitters). Set expectations, hold accountability, and elevate the team's performance.
  • Assess current systems, then design, physically build, and maintain organization across a large home. This is hands-on work, not advising.
  • Keep the home calm, reset, and functional. Manage school logistics, evening routines, meal prep, restocking, and the weekly vendor schedule (cleaners, landscaper, pool, trash/recycling).
  • Coordinate family and staff schedules with the parents' EAs, support children's routines, assist with travel prep, and run household projects start to finish.
