A wonderful family is settling into a new home in Santa Fe and is looking for a capable, grounded household professional to help bring it to life and keep it running beautifully. This is a role for someone who takes real pride in a well-ordered home, who notices what needs doing before being asked, and who wants to become a trusted, lasting part of a family's daily life. The family welcomes two kinds of candidates equally: seasoned private service professionals with experience managing homes and households, or individuals who have masterfully run their own households and raised a family to a high standard. What matters most is a high standard, a steady hand, genuine warmth, and the instinct to take ownership.

Requirements

  • Years of running a household to a high standard, whether professionally (House Manager, Family Assistant, Estate Assistant) or through deep personal experience managing your own home with excellence.
  • Exceptional organization and a real eye for detail.
  • Confident and self-directed, comfortable taking initiative without supervision.
  • Genuinely comfortable around dogs and happy to provide hands-on care every day.
  • Warm, positive, discreet, and easy to work alongside.
  • Resourceful and adaptable.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong, verifiable references.
  • Comfort with extensive, hands-on dog care.
  • High personal standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Professional discretion and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility as the family's needs grow and change.

Responsibilities

  • Run the home, ensuring it is exceptionally organized, clean, and welcoming.
  • Handle daily resets and ongoing tidying.
  • Build simple systems to make the household run smoothly.
  • Keep the home stocked and guest-ready.
  • Coordinate vendors, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Manage feeding, walks, exercise, grooming, brushing, and general well-being of multiple dogs.
  • Monitor dog health and behavior, and keep their spaces clean and comfortable.
  • Assist with home setup as the family moves in.
  • Take ownership of organization and improvement projects.
  • Support seasonal upkeep and outdoor/plant care.
  • Prepare the home for guests and family visits.
  • Handle grocery shopping and provisioning.
  • Keep pantry, refrigerator, and food storage organized.
  • Assist with light meal preparation.
  • Run errands and manage purchases and returns.
  • Help with travel and packing readiness before and after trips.
