About The Position

Millwood Hospital, a UHS affiliated hospital, is a 134-bed mental health facility providing inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Since 1971, Millwood has offered care to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Located in Arlington, TX, it is conveniently situated near AT&T Stadium and DFW International Airport. Millwood Hospital is Joint Commission accredited and part of Universal Health Services, Inc. The RN House Supervisor is responsible for complete facility operations during the assigned shift, including supervising nursing and clinical staff to ensure accurate and timely patient care. This role oversees patient care for ages preschool through geriatrics. Additionally, the House Supervisor, along with Nurse Managers, is responsible for collecting and submitting monthly data related to Core Measures to the Director of PI/Compliance. Availability for full hospital and departmental orientations is required: Week 1: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM; Week 2: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • CPR certification.
  • Training in appropriate use of seclusion and restraints (CPI) prior to on the unit orientation.
  • Must pass a medication administration exam.
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited program in professional nursing is preferred; or equivalent combination of related education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute hospital setting; preferably in a psychiatric facility.
  • Supervisory/managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for complete facility operations during the assigned shift.
  • Supervise nursing and clinical staff.
  • Ensure patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Supervise the care of patients ranging in age from preschool through geriatrics.
  • Collect monthly data related to Core Measures, along with Nurse Managers.
  • Submit Core Measures data in a timely manner to the Director of PI/Compliance.
