About The Position

The House Supervisor (RN) provides 24/7 clinical and administrative oversight in a Critical Access Hospital, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and the smooth functioning of hospital operations. Reporting to the Manager of Patient Care Services, the House Supervisor acts as the on-site administrative leader in the absence of department directors, the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), or Hospital Administration. This role requires a high degree of flexibility, agility, and resilience, navigating rapidly changing situations and responding to emergent needs with sound clinical judgment and calm leadership. The House Supervisor coordinates staffing, facilitates patient flow, addresses urgent operational or clinical issues, and supports frontline teams across all departments—serving as a stabilizing presence and key decision-maker during off-hours and high-stress scenarios.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multistate License (MSL) with Washington endorsement (maintenance required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, including at least three (3) years of recent acute care experience
  • Minimum two (2) years’ House Supervisor Experience
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (required and must be maintained)
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire (must be maintained)
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire (must be maintained)
  • TNCC course previously completed or must be completed within one year of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field
  • Rural healthcare experience
  • Experience with Cerner EHR
  • Any certification provided under the Washington State Nurse Association contract with Kittitas Valley Healthcare
