The House Supervisor (RN) role is a part-time position within the Weekend Program, focusing on nights. The schedule includes every Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM and every Saturday from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM, with a holiday rotation. This role serves as a resource for patient-related clinical and service problems, collaborates with physicians for optimal patient care and resource utilization, and acts as a patient advocate. The House Supervisor investigates patient incidents and medication errors, ensures proper documentation, and facilitates the admission, transfer, and discharge process. They also act as a liaison for staff to ensure optimal patient care processes, identify system problem trends, and respond to public relations issues. Additionally, this role intervenes during the absence of the Safety Officer or Patient Safety Officer when immediate threats to life, health, or property exist, with intervention authority designated by the governing board. The position requires performing patient positioning and transporting duties, demonstrating age-specific care knowledge, and adhering to safety protocols when exposed to various hazards.
