The House Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care by effectively managing the activities of the total patient care services during their assigned shift. In the absence of the Administrator and/or designee, the House Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator-On-Call. Obtains daily staffing information from the patient care units. Coordinates staffing on a projected and shift-by-shift basis. Assigns staff following union contracts to cover daily vacancies caused by sick leave, staff emergencies, vacant shifts, etc. Sets the team from the roster according to the call-in process or utilize the float pool if available. Initiates and follows Disaster Preparedness and chain of command for internal/external issues and advises unit directors of any problems with their department concerning staff and or staffing.
