About The Position

Lead beyond the bedside in this PRN House Supervisor opportunity with BJC HealthCare. In this hospital-wide leadership role, you'll support staffing operations, patient flow, and clinical excellence while serving as a resource for nursing teams across Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh. Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • 2+ years of previous Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, or nursing leadership experience
  • Strong communication, leadership, and critical-thinking skills
  • Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing
  • 2-5 years Supervisor Experience
  • < 2 years

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • ACLS preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • 5-10 years Experience

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Supervises the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care across the organization. Effectively responds to special circumstances and acts as the on site leader.
  • Assists with patient care operations and integration of services between departments.
  • Assists in the clinical development of nursing staff, including observing and coaching staff in performance of clinical duties and interpersonal interactions and monitoring staff and unit compliance in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Functions as a liaison between Administration and all departments and customers.
  • Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Support staffing operations, patient flow, and clinical excellence.
  • Serve as a resource for nursing teams across Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh.
  • Support frontline caregivers, responding to operational and patient care needs.
  • Help ensure safe, exceptional care for patients.
  • Provide leadership support across two Memorial campuses.
  • Collaborate with nursing leaders, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Support staffing coordination, patient throughput, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Respond to rapid responses, patient concerns, and hospital-wide operational needs.
