About The Position

We are seeking an experienced House Supervisor – Patient Flow to provide leadership and operational oversight within a hospital setting. This role is responsible for managing patient flow, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring effective coordination of clinical and administrative activities during assigned shifts. This is a fast-paced hospital environment requiring flexibility and adaptability, offering an opportunity to lead and contribute to operational improvements and special projects.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience in patient flow, charge nurse, or leadership roles
  • Hands-on experience with advanced medical equipment, including: IV pumps, A-lines and invasive lines, Chest tubes, Ventilator-supported patients
  • Experience caring for patients across all age groups (infant to geriatric)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Montana
  • CPR certification required
  • ACLS & PALS required (or must obtain within 6 months)
  • Strong knowledge of advanced nursing practices and patient care
  • Expertise in cardiac monitoring and post-operative care
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with staff at all organizational levels
  • Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage high patient volumes and prioritize effectively
  • Customer service-oriented with a team-focused mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Recent ICU or critical care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to hospital staff on policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Oversee patient flow , bed management, and resource allocation across units
  • Supervise nursing staff and support teams, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to make administrative and patient care decisions
  • Address and resolve patient and family concerns in a professional manner
  • Work closely with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback
  • Support safe and effective care delivery across all patient populations
  • Participate in operational planning and special projects as needed
