About The Position

Assumes the overall responsibility for provision of clinical nursing service under the direction of the Assistant Chief Nurse Executive and/or the Chief Nurse Executive. Assumes the overall management activities during the absence of the Administrative Management to assure safe and effective patient care.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school in Nursing; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An additional three (3) years in a related field.
• An individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.
• Possess and maintain an Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
• Must be certified in CPR & maintain throughout employment.
• Must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment and maintain throughout employment.
• A driver's license may be required to work in some departments. If so, the applicant/employee must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Competency in basic computer skills, knowledge of common equipment used in nursing area, working background in patient care area.
• Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
