  • Flexible attitude to scheduled shifts – the incumbent may need to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough and complete cleaning of all guest floors, public washrooms, elevators, stairwells, and interior/exterior public areas, including fitness rooms/showers, according to the hotel's efficiency standards.
  • Conduct carpet shampooing and deep cleaning.
  • Ensure security standards are practiced to protect guest and employee privacy and belongings.
  • Follow hotel policies regarding key control and the security of hotel property, including linens, supply carts, vacuums, and storage rooms.
  • Meet and exceed guest and co-worker expectations by providing exemplary service and teamwork.
  • Ensure all guests receive prompt attention, providing value-added service by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to exceed guest expectations.
  • Assist with inventories and help prevent waste and misuse of guest and cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Assist room attendants to ensure smooth operations by promptly removing all garbage, soiled linen, and dirty food trays from corridors.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, and follow procedures listed in shift checklists.
  • Clean corridors and vents.
  • Strip rooms.
  • Wash floors and windows.
  • Respond to Front Desk calls, assisting with room checks, luggage delivery, and guest special requests.
  • Communicate with the Manager on Duty (MOD) and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, and safety problems.
  • Maintain pool and fitness room supplies of towels.
