About The Position

The House Manager's caseload will involve programs located in the Milwaukee area. At Dungarvin, we don’t just provide support—we transform lives. As a House Manager, you will lead residential programs serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities alongside complex behavioral and mental health needs. This is not a traditional group home leadership role. This is an opportunity for a strong, hands-on leader who thrives in high-acuity environments, can confidently guide teams through crisis situations, and is passionate about person-centered, trauma-informed care. The ideal candidate will have previous experience supervising staff and working with adults with disabilities and challenging behaviors, as well as with those requiring crisis management and behavioral interventions. This position is a mixture of admin and direct care duties.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience supporting individuals with behavioral interventions and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
• Proven ability to manage crisis situations, de-escalation, and high-risk behaviors
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with auto insurance are required

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field
• Experience in residential, group home, or behavioral health settings

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee residential programs, including high-acuity behavioral homes (AFH settings)
• Supervise, coach, and develop teams of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
• Drive implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and partner on Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
• Provide leadership during crisis situations, ensuring safe, consistent, and compliant responses
• Collaborate with families, case managers, and clinical teams to ensure quality care
• Manage program operations including staffing, budgets, and compliance
• Train new and existing staff on behavioral interventions, safety protocols, and best practices
• Conduct performance management, including coaching, evaluations, and disciplinary action as needed
• Participate in an on-call rotation, supporting both traditional and behavioral programs
