About The Position

A kind family in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, WA is seeking an exceptional and professional House Manager for their household. They have one older teenager and no pets. The role is Monday through Friday for 7 hours a day, but can give 35-40 hours a week. Specific hours to be worked out and determined by what works best for both parties. The candidate to hire needs to be a self-starter, not get overwhelmed easily, can get stuff done and have an eye to see what needs to be done and proactively take action and initiative. The role begins ASAP and they would love a candidate for many years to come! The family is easygoing and easy to work with, just need an autonomous thinker/action-taker for their house manager, being on top of and taking ownership of the home.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed driver
  • Must be a safe driver
  • Former House Manager experience with glowing references

Nice To Haves

  • Having an existing trusted Rolodex of vendors is a strong asset
  • Former experience in similar roles with large homes and frequent guests is ideal
  • A local candidate would be ideal

Responsibilities

  • Run errands as needed
  • Open/organize/sort through mail; giving to the principals what they need
  • Contacting vendors for needed work and repairs as needed, vetting through said vendors to choose high-quality and trustworthy sources
  • Be present during a home remodeling project from end of July 2026 for 2 months (family will likely be traveling)
  • Potentially travel domestically and internationally with the family (possibly Portugal for months at a time)
  • In the mornings, prepare breakfast for the Mrs. and bring her coffee, fresh flowers, and breakfast with sorted mail for her review
  • Put the dishes away/clean up the kitchen after use
  • Light meal prep like breakfast or lunch, meal ordering, washing and prepping produce
  • Organization and tidying
  • Laundry and folding
  • Making beds
  • Potentially travel with the family during their 3 months of summer travel, or go between homes
  • Manage household when the family frequently has guests
  • Be the eyes and ears of the household management, ensuring all is taken care of exceptionally
  • Basic record-keeping/receipt organizing and letting the Family Office Director know who needs to be paid in a timely manner for larger invoices
  • Pay small vendor invoices using an employee credit card
  • Handle tasks like grocery shopping, returning packages, dry cleaning pick-ups, and ensuring the home is fully stocked
  • Organize family calendars, book appointments, and help with planning social events
