About The Position

The House Manager implements and maintains an appropriate home-like environment for the individuals of a People's Arc of Suffolk community residence/ICF. This role involves managing the operation of a People's Arc of Suffolk community residence/ICF and performing related work as requested. The position operates under the immediate supervision of the Assistant Program Director.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in human services field with at least one year involving developmental disabled individuals within an OPWDD certified setting
Readiness to learn and utilize relevant agency computer applications
24 hour on-call for staffing/emergency problems
Valid NYS Driver's License with satisfactory record
Must be able to display a high level of professionalism and discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential information with superior emotional intelligence

Responsibilities

Manages a household budget
Recruitment, training, evaluation and supervision of staff
Supervision of diets and nutritional needs of individuals
Meal preparation; light housecleaning
Record keeping, individual service plans, attending team meetings
Family and community relations
Ensures the scheduling of medical and dental appointments
Serve as Agency Designated Supervisor providing administrative on-site supervision in association with the administration of medication to individuals residing within the community residence/ICF
Administration of medication in conformance with State regulations
