Title: House Manager (with Meal Prep) Location: Austin, TX 78739 Employment Type: Part-time (~20 hours/week) Proposed Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $30-35/hour based on experience Requirements: Able to maintain a smoke-free environment Has reliable transportation Proposed Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~4 hours/day Preferred window of ~1:30–5:30 PM to backup into dinnertime; flexibility on timing with daily consistency About Our Family: We’re a laid-back family of four with two daughters (ages 3 and 5) who bring a lot of energy and joy into our home. Both parents work demanding full-time jobs, and while our girls are in daycare full-time, we need a partner to help us restore order at the end of the day. We share our home with a 32-lb. Australian labradoodle and two hypoallergenic Siberian cats. One of us works from home and travels regularly for business. The other works in an office – and does his best to keep things together at home during travel weeks. When schedules shift, household details can pile up, and we’re looking for someone who can help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. We value a flexible household that is not rigid or overly structured. We are looking for someone who can step in, create simple systems, and help restore order at the end of busy days. If you enjoy corralling a bit of chaos with a steady, confident attitude, you’ll feel right at home here. Who We're Looking For We’re looking for someone calm, capable, and go-with-the-flow. Someone who can adapt easily to the rhythm of a busy household and take ownership without needing constant direction. We aren’t looking for perfection; we’re looking for progress. Our ideal candidate is: Proactive and self-sufficient: You spot what needs to be done and take care of it without being asked or guided Systems-minded (but flexible): You enjoy creating simple, effective systems and adjusting them as life changes Calm under pressure: You’re not easily flustered and can juggle priorities with ease Independent but communicative: Comfortable working from text updates or a shared app, with minimal check-ins Trustworthy and reliable: You’re confident making decisions and know when to ask for input Empathetic with a sense of humor: When things are out of place, you default to empathy rather than frustration At the end of the day, we’re looking for someone who can keep the house humming along – quietly, capably, and without making it feel like a big production – so our family can focus more on each other.
