About The Position

The House Manager role is an important one, because they are responsible for the comfort and safety of the audience before, during, and after a performance. The House Manager is responsible for supervising Front of House and working with the Box Office during an actual production. This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a customer service
• Prior management experience

Responsibilities

• Checking the house before and after productions
• Audience control
• Assisting in the Box Office (including Will Call assistance the Box Office during the production)
• Supervising the ushers
• Seating patrons as needed (especially patrons with ADA needs and the elderly)
• Coordinating show start/end and intermissions with the Stage Manager
• Dealing with emergency situations (see separate emergency protocol document)
• Other duties as assigned
