About The Position

This is a part-time position, 25-30 hours per week, with the potential to grow to full-time. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM, plus one floating day (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). The role involves supporting a busy, organized family of four in Seattle. The primary focus is on afternoon support, including pickups, dinner preparation, children's routines, laundry, grocery management, and general household organization. The family has existing support staff but seeks a proactive, consistent presence to ensure the household runs smoothly. The ideal candidate will be a trusted partner who can maintain and enhance existing systems, operate independently, and provide a warm, steady presence for the children. Professionalism, discretion, healthy boundaries, and clear communication are highly valued. The role requires managing various household tasks, including family support, household management, deep cleaning oversight, inventory and errands, meal planning and prep, laundry, vehicle maintenance, vendor oversight, and administrative/personal assistant support.

Requirements

  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license required

Responsibilities

  • Pick-ups 3-5 times per week
  • Light supervision / back-up childcare / date night
  • Prep backpacks/clothing/snacks for the summer camps and snacks during the school year
  • Kid-related errands
  • Create and/or Maintain household organization systems
  • Daily resets and prep home for cleaners
  • Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas)
  • Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Event/holiday/guest prep and be present for the family events
  • Packing/unpacking for travel
  • Indoor plant care
  • Building the list for deep cleans for the house cleaner (fridge, oven, baseboards) - and doing the walkthrough to ensure completion
  • Refresh garage/mudroom/entry - (sweep out the leaves)
  • Clean humidifiers/air purifiers
  • Organizational projects (toys, gear)
  • Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies
  • Manage running household supply lists
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
  • Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Mail and package handling

  • Prep healthy meals/snacks (daily salad, pasta, or fruit bowl)
  • Prep school lunches for summer camps
