About The Position
The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas and equipment throughout the hotel. The role also involves delivering requested items to guest rooms and assisting with guest services, including express checkout materials and newspapers when applicable. The position is at Residence Inn Deptford in Deptford, New Jersey, with an indicated shift of 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and/or 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees and guests at all levels in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
Responsibilities
- Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
- Shampoo carpets in public areas according to hotel standards.
- Shampoo furniture as needed.
- Handle luggage assistance requests in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Handle Lost and Found items according to hotel standards.
- Clean guestrooms as needed.
- Know and assist with all emergency procedures.
- Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
- Store hotel equipment in the proper area.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Deliver requested items to guest rooms and assist with guest services, including express checkout materials and newspapers, as applicable.
