About The Position

This position is responsible for distributing linen, towels and room supplies using carts or by hand. Restock room supplies and replace dirty linens with clean items. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly storerooms in the back of house. This position will emulate a positive, upbeat, and heartfelt demeanor in order to deliver memorable and rewarding experiences. This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class II Gaming License
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to obtain and retain a current Certified Pool Operators Certificate
  • Ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate guest needs
  • Ability to take criticism
  • Listening skills to ensure they are meeting the needs of their guests for cleanliness and sanitation standards is required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience
  • Knowledge of, and willingness to learn, new cleaning methods is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for stocking room attendant carts with adequate supplies to complete assigned rooms and maintain an efficient cleaning cart.
  • Maintain equipment such as vacuum and cleaning equipment. Empty vacuum cleaner bag as necessary.
  • Notify supervisor when shortage of supplies is noticed.
  • Remove trash and dirty linens from room attendant’s carts.
  • Report maintenance problems and complete minor work repair orders.
  • Spot clean walls, carpets, light fixtures and room attendant carts at the end of the day.
  • Responsible for replenishing supply storerooms in the hotel; Rotate linens in storerooms.
  • Maintain shelf organization in the storerooms.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Take corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas.
  • Maintain security of keys and hotel as assigned.
  • Deliver special request items such as cribs to guest rooms.
  • Required to maintain water quality by properly testing water chemistry and ensure proper balance in hotel pool and spa.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Perform job duties with a minimum of disruption of the guest.
  • Follow all company safety and security procedures as well as legal regulations including OSHA.
  • Observe and report damage of hotel property.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
