About The Position

We are looking for a House Account Specialist to join our team. This role is designed to be an empowering springboard for your career, offering a supportive environment where you can receive dedicated mentorship and focus on mastering the key fundamentals of a full-scale Account Manager. You will be at the heart of our regional community, taking ownership of a thriving sales territory dedicated to supporting and elevating local small to midsize accounts. This role involves nurturing and elevating existing customer relationships through consultative outreach, combining in-person travel with consistent phone contact. You will listen to client concerns, build thoughtful solutions, and act as an advocate for the customer by collaborating with internal teams. You will also prepare comprehensive sales proposals, stay attuned to the marketplace by gathering insights on product trends, and maintain a structured approach to your week by sharing work plans with your District Manager. Occasionally, you may support your team by assisting with counter sales in a back-up capacity. You will expand your expertise in customer service excellence and advanced problem-solving techniques, and receive hands-on learning in welding and gas product applications.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of prior outside sales/service experience.
  • Must have excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter; self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas / welding supply sales is a plus.
  • A detailed understanding of Google, or MS Office Applications, SAP functionalities.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Receive hands-on learning in welding and gas product applications, giving you the confidence to tailor presentations, demonstrate product features, and explain technical uses clearly and warmly to diverse audiences.
