Hourly Warehouse Supervisor

This role is for a Distribution Warehouse Supervisor who will superintend all 2nd shift warehouse activities and employees, ensuring accurate picking, shipments, and appropriate handling of merchandise. The role requires familiarity with distribution center concepts, practices, and procedures, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. It involves performing a variety of complicated tasks and requires a degree of creativity and latitude. The Distribution Warehouse Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years warehouse operations experience or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of inventory control and SKU management experience
- High degree of attention to detail
- Able to perform light to heavy physical tasks; able to lift 50 lbs. safely
- Collaborates with all levels within the organization
- Proficiently operates a variety of powered industrial trucks
- Comfortable with exposure to environmental conditions (e.g. heat/cold; noise, dust)
- Comfortable with heights (25’-30’)
Nice To Haves
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in picking or shipment of products
- Eclipse Warehouse Management System background a plus
Responsibilities
- Monitors and evaluates performance of direct reports
- Ensures accuracy and documentation of all outbound shipments
- Performs operations and safety checks on all powered industrial trucks
- Promotes and enforces workplace safety procedures and measures for department/branch
- Provides training on processes and procedures for 2nd shift employees
- Communicates business plans and departmental goals and objectives
- Other duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager
