About The Position
Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is looking for an experienced, dependable Hourly Supervisor who leads by example and knows how to create a great experience for both guests and crew. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll work alongside the team while supporting management with shift operations, service standards, training, and accountability. It’s also a great opportunity for someone interested in developing their leadership skills and growing into restaurant management.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience; 3 - 5+ yrs
- Leadership experience preferred
- A positive, approachable, and accountable leadership style
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A team-first attitude and willingness to work alongside the crew
- Reliability, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
- A genuine commitment to hospitality and the guest experience
Responsibilities
- Help oversee shift flow, delegate tasks, and set the crew up for success
- Lead by example in guest service and team communication
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members
- Assist managers with opening and closing procedures, shift checklists, cleanliness, and organization
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for the crew during shifts
- Uphold Mex 1’s standards for FOOD, SERVICE & VIBE
- Help create a fun, positive, and welcoming environment
