About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel is seeking an Hourly Production Worker at its Middletown, Ohio facility. The role supports and maintains plant operations by operating equipment and performing operations labor, general labor, and light mobile equipment tasks. The worker may operate equipment associated with producing units and material-handling or mobile equipment. The position requires rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. The starting hourly rate is $28.51. Potential additional earnings include Sunday premium pay, shift differential, and holiday pay.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality.
• Be able to read, understand, and follow safety information, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

• At least one year of labor experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and perform operations labor, general labor, and light mobile equipment tasks to support and maintain plant operations.
• Operate equipment associated with producing units.
• Operate material-handling equipment, including overhead electric cranes, and mobile equipment such as tractors, trucks, heavy equipment, dozers, loaders, boom trucks, and mobile cranes.
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance on associated equipment.
