About The Position

Develop coursework to support effective instruction of an industry night class at the school level. Effectively deliver instruction that promotes an exemplary educational program and ensures success for all students. The night programming at the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) is designed to support current high school students and adult learners across the metro area to obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant License through the state of Colorado. Night programming is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM to teach skills for testing and clinicals. The instructor will also be responsible for supervising clinicals at a current established nursing facility.

Requirements

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• Five (5) years of professional work experience in industry
• Appropriate certifications or licenses in the industry field
• Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic classroom management and planning skills
• Basic organizational skills
• Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
• Ability to assume leadership in the development and communication of programs and curriculum
• Ability and desire to work as a team member
• An RN License through the state of Colorado is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.
• Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, schedule, individualized programs of instruction for students, classroom materials and curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities.
• Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.
• Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways and use the data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction.
• Collaborate with support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
• Supervise clinicals at a current established nursing facility.
