Requirements

  • Must be able to supervise, coordinate and participate in activities of cooks and other associates engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food.
  • Must be able to ensure all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met.
  • Must be able to supervise hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action.
  • Must be able to efficiently prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
  • Must be able to serve meals or prepare for delivery.
  • Must be able to ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
  • Must be able to track food use, waste and consumption to requisition or purchase product.
  • Must be able to receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity to ensure appropriate inventory.
  • Must be able to maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
  • Must be able to clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area.
  • Must be able to keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, production and merchandising requirements.
  • Must be able to help select and develop recipes and menus.
  • Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
