Support the agency mission by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment. This role involves using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to provide intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals. The advocate will also provide parent support and education via the hotline and chat feature, ensuring coordinated client care with key community partners. A key aspect of the role is to act with the client in mind, meeting their needs and expectations. In administration, the role requires maintaining confidential and accurate client, stakeholder, intern, and volunteer records in agency databases. Responsibilities include grant reporting, adhering to documentation procedures, and participating in quality assurance. The position also requires serving as an On-Call Advocate for at least three holidays per calendar year. Stewardship involves increasing awareness of victimization, prevention, and available resources through public speaking and media requests, participating in community meetings, and promoting professional relationships. Assisting with staff/volunteer training is also part of the role. Professional development includes staying informed of best practices in trauma and victimization, maintaining skills and knowledge through training, and ensuring licensure and certifications are up to date. The role also involves contributing to agency effectiveness by performing other duties as assigned.
