About The Position

The Omaha Marriott at the Capitol District is seeking a dedicated individual to join their dynamic team as a Shuttle Driver/Bell-person. This role is crucial in providing exclusive luxury and outstanding service that defines the hotel. The Shuttle Driver/Bell-person will warmly escort guests to and from their accommodations, assist with luggage, and ensure they are fully acquainted with their room and its features, in a friendly and courteous manner. The Omaha Marriott Downtown is a premier destination known for its world-class hospitality, sleek design, and exceptional service, ranked among the top hotels in the city. With 333 modern rooms and over 15,000 square feet of event space, the hotel serves as the anchor of Omaha's vibrant Capitol District, located steps from the CHI Health Center and Charles Schwab Field.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to understand and follow written and or verbal instructions.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English.
Ability to read English language sufficiently to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
Ability to grasp, lift, and or carry or otherwise move packages and boxes and luggage up to 45lbs continuously throughout shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with friendly and sincere welcome.
Retrieve guest items from cars, buses, vans, and carts.
Grasp, lift, carry and/or load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items throughout hotel to designated room.
Navigate bell cart through public areas, guest room corridors and to elevators.
Drive guests to approved destinations in company van and perform other driving errands as assigned.
Listen and respond to guest inquiries.
Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information.
Always maintain a professional image while at work.
Monitor company van maintenance requirements and communicate needs to management.
Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation along with personal hygiene.
Other duties as assigned.
