About The Position

As a Room Inspector at PENN Entertainment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the immaculate condition of guest accommodations and maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of all safety and health standards set by OSHA and local Health Department.
  • Must be able to work as a team with other employees.
  • Ability to tilt head back and look up.
  • Ability to perform frequent, circular motions with hands and/or arms.
  • Ability to handle exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
  • Visual range must include near and far distances.
  • Ability to maneuver in small, limited spaces.
  • Ability to use ladders, as well as clean ground level areas.
  • Ability to transport all supplies to and from work areas.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to maneuver in hotel areas, walk up and down stairs, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing second-hand smoke.
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and be able to handle chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion).
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of hotel property management system preferred.
  • Knowledge of hotel management system to inquire about and update room status preferred.
  • Knowledge of all facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maximum efficiency among Room Attendants to maintain immaculate guest accommodations.
  • Assign guest rooms to be cleaned.
  • Inspect all vacant rooms to confirm they meet Housekeeping standards and are in top condition.
  • Supervise Room Attendants to ensure proper care and protection of all hotel property.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to prevent damage and maintain property standards.
  • Check Room Attendants’ appearance, carts, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
  • Ensure storerooms are properly stocked with linens and supplies.
  • Promote a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude among all employees.
  • Ensure Room Attendants’ work meets hospitality operational requirements.
  • Uphold all departmental and property policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; and handle rewards, discipline, complaints, and problem resolution.
  • Provide exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests.
