Hotel Room Inspector - Housekeeping
About The Position
Our newly renovated Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston/Canton hotel located at 50 Royall St in Canton, MA is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor / Room Inspector to join their team! This Hotel is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates. A Housekeeping Supervisor/ Room Inspector , oversees and supervises cleaning personnel and inspects hotel guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and lobbies by performing the following duties. Maintains cleanliness standards for both guest rooms and public areas and inspects them to ensure that standards are met. Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel of inadequacies. Trains or re-trains staff on proper housekeeping procedures when needed. In absence of Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the housekeeping department supervision. Cleans rooms and public areas as assigned by Executive Housekeeper. Working typical shifts that include weekends and holidays when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel setting or open to training.
- Able to work flexible shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Can navigate a cart weighing up to 100 lbs., and lift, carry up to 25 lbs.
- Engaging personality.
Nice To Haves
- One year previous supervisory housekeeping experience is a plus.
