About The Position

The Room Checker provides an outstanding guest experience by participating in and assisting with the oversight of the daily tasks of the Hotel Room Attendant as required by the Housekeeping Supervisory Team. They assist in ensuring the implementation of quality assurance standards and ensure guests’ needs and expectations are met. This role involves supervisory duties, assisting in managing a team of co-workers to ensure their section of rooms and public spaces are cleaned in a timely manner, and serving as a departmental role model. The position requires complying with quality assurance expectations and standards, including inspecting sites and facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met. The Room Checker will also perform all the functions of a Hotel Room Attendant.

Requirements

Previous cleaning experience preferred.

Appropriate level of physical fitness is required for a high-altitude environment.
Candidates must be prepared and wear appropriate footwear, gloves, layers, etc. for the conditions of an indoor role at a ski area.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the daily tasks of the Hotel Room Attendant as required by the Housekeeping Supervisory Team.
Assisting in ensuring the implementation of quality assurance standards.
Ensuring guests’ needs and expectations are met.
Assisting in managing a team of co-workers to ensure their section of rooms and public spaces are cleaned in a timely manner.
Serving as a departmental role model.
Complying with quality assurance expectations and standards, including inspecting sites & facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Overall cleaning of the guest rooms to include, but not be limited to: dusting, making beds, removing soiled linen/ garbage, replenishing towels and amenities, vacuuming, spraying and wiping tile floor, cleaning bathroom, replacing dirty glassware.
Ability to clean all assigned rooms per shift.
Offering assistance to guests and colleagues in a courteous manner.
Answering guest inquiries regarding the area and hotel services and facilities.
Cleaning & maintaining public spaces, areas and washrooms as required.
Working in compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks.
Following all company policies and procedures, ensuring uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets.
Communicating with others using clear and professional language, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and answering telephones using appropriate etiquette.
Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting team to reach common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
