About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Revenue Manager to aid the Director of Hotel Operations in overseeing the business process designed to optimize the financial performance of our operation through all market conditions. The key components of this process include Tracking, Forecasting, Pricing, Inventory Management, Distribution and Internal Communication. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Requirements

  • Ability to manage employees, training and coaching skills with evidence of developing exceptionally motivated teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
  • Bachelor’s or related degree preferred
  • 5 years experience
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the management of pricing and optimization strategies and oversight of all distribution channels to ensure the maximum yield of hotel room revenue.
  • Building and maintaining the Revenue Reports, Holiday Report, FODR and additional reports uses to ensure the maximum yield of hotel room revenue.
  • Oversee production of Nor1, a program that will implement revenue maximization practices such as advance upgrade, Front Desk up sell and other key programs to lift ADR on booked reservations and continue to manage this program on a day to day basis.
  • Monitor room inventory daily and sets restrictions accordingly (minimum/maximum length of stay, closed to arrival, limited inventory) in order to maximize occupancy and ultimately room revenue.
  • Keep current and aware of all room rates, packages, specials and other hotel/casino information that customers may inquire about; ensuring the accuracy of information and responsible for communicating this information to all employees in the reservations department.
  • Work with the reservation call center to ensure sales and pricing strategies are effective based on conversion ratios and consumer monitoring.
  • Work with Casino in planning for special promotions and events to ensure room blocks are correct.
  • Monitor and track promos yielding rate when and where possible.
  • Be able to prepare weekly pace report by compiling all prevalent data from multiple reports into approved format.
  • Keep log of all trends, events, citywide and in-house conventions, etc. that affect hotel occupancy.
  • Update and analyze calendars daily for yield possibility.
  • Monitor OTA allotments adding and removing where necessary.
  • Run and analyze competitor pricing report to check parity across all channels as well as use for a yielding tool.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for Executives based on projects and needs.
