About The Position

This is an opportunity to be part of the iconic Little Palm Island Resort and Spa team, a luxury private island resort. As the Supervisor of the Receiving Team, your energetic and professional personality will be important to the resort's success. This role leads the unique challenges of receiving, distributing, and transporting items to and from the island to ensure guest experiences are memorable. The position is fast-paced, involves working outdoors in a tropical climate, and is on the water. Requirements

Previous experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehousing.
Supervisory experience highly preferred.
Proficiency in computer systems, including inventory management programs.
Capability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials.
Exposure to the elements in the Florida Keys in all weather conditions.
Boating experience/aptitude required for transporting items by barge between shore and island.
Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and record-keeping.
Conscientious individual with attention to detail and a big smile.
Efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
Comfort on the water and working in the FL weather is a must.
Hard-working, reliable team player with a 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn.
Passion for hospitality.
Ability to let personality shine and have fun.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the unloading, inspection, and processing of incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Coordinates the movement of all items between Island and Shore.
Supervises, trains, and schedules receiving personnel, managing performance and employee development.
Assists departments with maintaining accurate inventory records and updates systems for received goods.
Ensures all shipping and receiving operations comply with safety policies (e.g., OSHA) and procedures.
Identifies and implements processes to increase efficiency and productivity in receiving.
