About The Position

Maintains and repairs the physical structures of hotel buildings and maintains the grounds. The role includes cleaning hotel areas, repairing building systems and equipment, maintaining pools and landscaping, and helping keep parking lots, sidewalks, banquet rooms, and meeting rooms in good condition. The employee responds promptly to guest maintenance concerns, works with other departments to address service requests, and supports property security, safety, and preventative maintenance programs. The employee follows Kinseth Hotel Corporation policies and property-specific guidelines, including dress, safety, and performance standards, maintains a professional image, and reports to work as scheduled. The position involves frequent standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing or balancing, bending and kneeling, and lifting or moving items, occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Requirements

Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including frequent lifting or moving of items up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of items up to 100 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must follow proper safety precautions to avoid injuries.

Responsibilities

Clean internal hotel areas, including storage and boiler rooms, parking lots, public areas, banquet rooms, and guest rooms; perform tasks such as buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and consolidating trash for weekly pickup.
Maintain and repair hotel plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective switches, fuses, faucets, and valves.
Replace worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment, including hoses, wiring, and belts in vehicles, vacuum cleaners, and riding mowers.
Monitor hotel swimming pools and adjust them to ensure proper sanitation and chemical usage.
Cut grass, trim weeds, construct decorative flower garden borders, dig flower beds, and plant flowers on the property.
Repair parking lots and sidewalks using asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
Operate snow removal equipment to keep parking lots and sidewalks clean and clear of obstacles.
Repair, paint, or replace building interior walls and trim, and wood, brick, stone, and concrete.
Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
Greet guests warmly and resolve maintenance concerns quickly and efficiently to support guest satisfaction.
Work closely with other departments to respond promptly to guest service and repair requests.
Assist with property security, including the security of vehicles, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards, and guests.
Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid waste, damage, or accidents.
Participate in property safety and preventative maintenance programs to maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.
Assist with setting up, tearing down, and cleaning banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
Run errands and drive as necessary to meet business needs.
Follow KHC policies and procedures and property-specific guidelines, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.
