About The Position

Maintains and repairs the physical structures of hotel buildings and maintains the grounds. The role also supports hotel operations by responding promptly to maintenance concerns, assisting other departments, and helping ensure guest satisfaction and a safe, hazard-free property. The employee is responsible for following Kinseth Hotel Corporation policies and property-specific guidelines, including dress code, safety, and performance standards. Employees must maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.

Requirements

Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or twisting, and pushing, pulling, or lifting.
Frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
Have the vision abilities required for the job, including close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Follow proper safety precautions at all times.

Responsibilities

Clean internal hotel areas, including storage and boiler rooms, parking lots, public areas, banquet rooms, and guest rooms; perform tasks such as buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and consolidating trash.
Maintain and repair building plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing defective switches, fuses, faucets, and valves.
Replace worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment, including vehicles, vacuum cleaners, and riding mowers.
Monitor hotel swimming pools and adjust sanitation and chemical usage as needed.
Cut grass, trim weeds, construct decorative flower garden borders, dig flower beds, and plant flowers.
Repair parking lots and sidewalks using asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
Operate snow removal equipment to keep parking lots and sidewalks clear of obstacles.
Repair, paint, or replace building interior walls, trim, and wood, brick, stone, and concrete features.
Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
Greet guests warmly and address maintenance concerns quickly and efficiently.
Coordinate with other departments to respond promptly to guest requests for services and repairs.
Help secure the property, including vehicles, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards, and guests.
Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid waste, damage, or accidents.
Participate in property safety and preventative maintenance programs.
Set up, tear down, and clean banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
Run errands and drive as necessary to meet business needs.
