About The Position

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the general maintenance of the hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. This role involves replacing air conditioner filters and tending to air conditioners, cooling towers, and boilers to ensure guests have heat, cool air, and hot water. The technician must maintain high standards of guest service, responding to and resolving guest requests, complaints, or questions courteously and promptly. Additionally, the position requires a comprehensive knowledge of the English language for effective communication, the ability to accurately report information, and strict adherence to all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures. The role also includes attending required meetings and contributing to a professional work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum lifting of 70 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, typing.
  • Minimum pulling of 70 pounds.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to accurately report information.
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.

Responsibilities
