About The Position

The Hampton Inn by Hilton Ellenton/Bradenton is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This role is responsible for the upkeep of the hotel property, assisting the Chief Engineer. The hotel is conveniently located off I-75 in Ellenton, close to shopping and dining, and within a short drive of Bradenton and various beaches. The Hampton Inn is part of Buffalo Lodging Associates, an award-winning hotel management company.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or a related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Assist with pool operations and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and service pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as required by regulations.
• Perform indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
• Maintain all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and record such maintenance in log books.
• Clean internal areas of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage.
• Maintain cleanliness of public and storage areas, as well as the parking lot.
