About The Position

Coast Hotels is seeking a skilled, reliable, and motivated Maintenance 2 Ambassador for the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel by APA, in preparation for its exciting reopening. This role is crucial in bringing the hotel back to life and ensuring an incredible guest experience. As a behind-the-scenes hero, the Maintenance 2 Ambassador will keep the hotel safe, functional, and guest-ready, with each day offering new challenges in repairs, troubleshooting, and supporting safety standards.

Requirements

• A high school diploma
• At least 2 years of maintenance or repair experience
• Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and general maintenance practices
• Great problem-solving and communication skills
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• A strong understanding of workplace health & safety
• A reliable, organized, and professional attitude
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• WHMIS training
• Trade or apprenticeship experience
• Hospitality or hotel maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Completing general maintenance and repair work throughout the property
• Troubleshooting equipment and building issues
• Responding to maintenance requests quickly and professionally
• Supporting a safe and secure environment for guests and team members
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and inventory supplies
• Assisting with preventative maintenance and property upkeep
• Following Occupational Health & Safety standards and procedures
• Delivering exceptional service to guests and fellow Ambassadors
• Pitching in wherever needed
