About The Position

Responsible for implementing and ensuring all housekeeping operations on assigned shift are in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures and high standard levels. This includes preparing rooms for guests and inspecting vacant clean rooms.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • at least one-year minimum experience in housekeeping position required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all Company Policies and Procedures are adhered to in the Housekeeping Section on assigned shift.
  • Ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Ensure strict adherence that all OSHA Safety rules, and internal safety policies and procedures regulations are followed.
  • Assist the Housekeeping team in the performance of duties to include cleaning of lobby and guestrooms, turndown service, or laundry operation.
  • Removes trash and debris from public areas and housekeeping areas including the housekeeping carts.
  • Strips beds, collects dirty linens, and makes beds with fresh linens.
  • Replenishes linens, amenities and other supplies in all housekeeping areas as needed.
  • Responsible for advising management of repairs and replacements necessary in assigned areas and is accountable for cleanliness and overall condition of the public areas, restrooms, and offices.
  • Reviews daily inventory of rooms, arrivals, and departures.
  • Reviews daily inventory of supplies needed to complete the assignments for the day.
  • Performs quality inspections to meet required standards within set time limits.
  • Call back housekeepers for any corrections and follow-up once complete.
  • Pick up ground litter around the hotel or whatever is visible.
  • Write maintenance requests for room deficiencies or supply needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Examine carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage, or wear.
  • Record inspection results and notify cleaning personnel of inadequacies.
  • Communicate with other hotel departments regarding problems which need their attention.
  • Ensure key control policies and safety procedures are being followed.
  • Keep all areas clean & sanitized as directed.
  • Report to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
  • Responsible for maintaining a regular, consistent attendance record.
  • Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or Assistant Operations Manager of the hotel.
