As a Hotel Housekeeping Shift Manager, you'll provide hands-on leadership to our housekeeping team, ensuring our hotel rooms and public areas consistently exceed guest expectations for cleanliness, presentation, and service. Requirements

At least 1 year of previous Hotel Housekeeping Leadership experience.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent guest service and hospitality experience.
Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Working knowledge of housekeeping equipment, cleaning machines, and maintenance procedures.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their safe handling, storage, usage, hazard recognition, and disposal methods.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel (ability to maintain complex spreadsheets).
One (1) year Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience.
Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
Strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic maintenance.
Experience in multi-tasking of projects and project management.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the Hotel Housekeeping team during your assigned shift.
Ensure guest rooms and hotel facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Observe team performance and promote exceptional guest service and positive employee relations.
Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing performance feedback to help associates grow and succeed.
Assist the Hotel Housekeeping Manager with daily administrative responsibilities.
Implement operational standards, productivity goals, and service expectations.
Support staffing decisions by providing recommendations related to hiring, promotions, transfers, performance evaluations, recognition, and corrective action.
Identify operational opportunities and recommend process improvements.
Jump in alongside your team during busy periods to help maintain service levels.
Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures, safety standards, and departmental policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Observe staff to ensure the highest possible standards of guest services and employee relations are maintained and carried out in fair manner.
Monitor job performance progress of associates and provides feedback on same to aid the associate in developing and enhancing skills.
Assist manager in administrative needs.
Implement operating standards, customer service, and productivity.
Oversee all hotel housekeeping associates during specified shift.
Make recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, assign, evaluate, reward, or discipline associates.
Provide input concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention.
Perform the job responsibilities of hotel housekeeping staff during peak periods.
Assure compliance with established hotel procedures.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
