About The Position

This role involves performing various tasks to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms, working areas, and the hotel premises. The House Person will report to Housekeeping Supervisors, Shift Managers, or the Manager on Duty. The position is full-time, with a pay rate of $15.50 per hour, and a schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, with Mondays and Tuesdays off. Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.

Requirements

Ability to reason and react calmly and quickly in an emergency.
Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions.
Ability to operate equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mops, and brooms.
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and handle chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion).

Responsibilities

Strip and remove all linen, terry, and trash from guest rooms.
Remove soiled linen, terry, trash, and glasses and cups from associate rooms.
Sweep and mop each associate room assigned every day.
Clean the guest lobby and vending areas, keeping them free of debris and trash.
Document and report all items in need of maintenance via work orders.
Check mattress pads, comforters, scarfs, and pillows for stains or damage and remove them following standard policy and procedures.
Notify proper personnel to ensure items are fixed or replaced.
Replace and move furniture to its original location and turn mattresses.
Assist housekeepers with tasks including placing headboards, roll-away beds, and microwaves.
Restock guest amenities and supplies in assigned supply rooms daily or as scheduled.
Monitor all assigned floors at the beginning of the shift, throughout the day, and at the end of the shift to collect trash and soiled linens.
Report missing/found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the office, supervisor, and/or manager.
Retrieve all shipments from the shipping/receiving dock and deliver/distribute supplies to storage rooms.
Deliver items to assets and the community center.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
