About The Position
The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of guestrooms, public areas, and the laundry facility. Duties include cleaning and stocking guestrooms, delivering linens and other requested items to guests, operating washing machines and dryers safely and efficiently, sorting laundry, and folding terry and linens. The role requires the ability to take direction. The stated schedule is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with two weekdays off. Shift premiums are listed as an additional $2.00 per hour Monday through Friday between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., and an additional $3.00 per hour for all shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Average annual room incentives are listed at $3.94 per room.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
- Ability to work with and in the presence of different cleaning products.
- Ability to take direction.

- Some housekeeping experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean guestrooms according to specifications provided by the supervisor.
- Vacuum, dust, mop, clean windows and mirrors, clean showers, toilets, and sinks, remove debris and trash, and replace used bed linens with clean linens.
- Perform other cleaning tasks in assigned hotel areas.
- Deliver linens and other supplies to linen closets.
- Operate laundry room equipment.
- Deliver linens and other requested items to guests.
- Sort laundry and fold terry and linens.
