Hotel Heavy Duty Porter
About The Position
A Heavy Duty Porter in a housekeeping department is responsible for performing a variety of specialty cleaning tasks throughout a property, including deep cleaning, heavy equipment operation, and moving furniture. They also ensure a clean and safe environment for guests, employees, and visitors. Assures that the common areas of the hotel are clean at all times. Fulfills dispatch calls in a timely manner and reports when completed. Responsible for all deep cleaning requests and the operation and maintenance of all the equipment used to perform cleaning duties. Must have good communication skills and the ability to follow through with assigned duties. Must have knowledge of equipment used (hand held radios, flat carts, rider extractor and hand extractor) and ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment according to policy standards.
