Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years hotel General Manager experience in a branded hotel environment (preferably Marriott experience)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
  • Exceptional mathematical and computer skills
  • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates
  • CPR training required
  • First aid training required
  • Minimum lifting of 20 pounds
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity
  • Hearing, writing, typing
  • Minimum pulling of 20 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a General Manager for a 3rd Party Management Company preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in hotel management, business, or industry related field preferred
  • Additional language ability preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive GSS scores/TripAdvisor ranking
  • Maintain transparency and forge strong owner/asset management relationships; manage under scrutiny from multiple parties
  • Analyze trends and data to effectively contribute to the revenue management team efforts and strategies
  • Build both revenue and NOI
  • Manage renovations and property re-concepting, acting as a "fixer" and elevating hotel operational and service culture to higher standards
  • Control costs while balancing topline revenue objectives and service levels
  • Motivate employees, drive positive employee morale and develop talent
  • Utilize a hands-on, entrepreneurial, self-directed leadership style, adapting to change quickly, and acting as an analytical thinker with understanding of business intelligence tools, STR reports, P&L, etc.
  • Over-communicate and creatively solve problems, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills
