About The Position

The GM will direct and coordinate the activities of the hotel to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through direct report supervisors. The ideal candidate is passionate and committed to the business at an ownership level, and manages people to inspire loyalty and maximize performance. Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, human resources, budget and forecast management, rooms, housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies and tactics to achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals.
  • Comfortable engaging with individuals/groups and in social situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain guest service standards that exceed guests' expectations.
  • Skills in managing guest and community relations.
  • Ability to monitor financial performance and control costs pursuant to the annual operating budget.
  • Skills in maximizing revenue generated by each business area.
  • Ability to participate in community and industry organizations as the primary representative of the hotel.
  • Ability to maintain the property to Engage Hospitality standards.
  • Experience managing individual department supervisors responsible for daily operations and profitability.
  • Ability to direct, coordinate, and evaluate departments.
  • Understanding of supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Experience in interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining department supervisors.
  • Ability to address employee complaints and resolve employee problems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of operations by exercising demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, human resources, budget and forecast management, rooms, housekeeping and maintenance.
